The Full Take
The 2022 City Advent Calendar does what it needs to do: 24 days of small builds, six minifigs, and enough variety to make December feel like a countdown. The builds lean on City's bread-and-butter — police, fire, holiday scenes — so nothing here will surprise a veteran, but the range keeps it from feeling stale. At $34.99 it's a fair ask for the format, though not a screaming deal. The minifig haul is decent for the price point, and a few of the vehicle micro-builds punch above their size. This is a set that rewards the ritual more than the result — the magic is in the daily unwrap, not the shelf display afterward. If that's what you're buying it for, the B grades out.
