The 2021 City Advent Calendar is exactly what it looks like on the tin: a reliable holiday ritual wrapped in a cardboard box. Seven minifigs spread across 24 windows keeps the character count solid, and the City theme gives designers enough range to mix vehicles, accessories, and tiny builds without things feeling repetitive. At $29.99 it's not a steal — advent calendars have always asked you to pay a little for the format — but it's not an embarrassing ask either. The builds themselves won't challenge anyone over eight, but that's not really the point here. This is a December-countdown toy, and judged on that axis it does its job without fumbling it.
