Walk the whole evolution

These aren't screenshots — each one is the real historical build, running live, pulled straight from git history. Click any card to open that exact version and click around it. Start at the top: the very first design.

Seven local servers are running right now (ports 9001–9007) so these open instantly. They're live for this session — if a link ever fails, just tell me and I'll restart them. Each opens in a new tab.

Genesis — the first design

Where it all began: a single page listing 2026 sets by month and theme, with price, piece count, and RETIRING / LEAK badges. A search bar up top. No grades on the cards yet, no app chrome — just the raw timeline idea.
What to look forHow simple and calm it started — theme-grouped cards, one search bar. This is the baseline every later layer reacted to.

The calculator redesign

The grade becomes the point. The calculator gets tabs, the full catalog, and minifig-aware scoring — and a letter-grade pill starts showing up on every card. The first time value is front-and-center.
What to look forOpen the Calculator and grade a set; then check the timeline — grade pills now ride on the cards.

It becomes an app

The "Plan 3" rebuild: a bottom tab bar, slide-up sheet pop-ups, the Verdict Card with its HOT TAKE banner, a calendar hero, and editorial discovery lanes. The moment it stops feeling like a web page.
What to look forBest viewed narrow (it's mobile-first). Tap a set → the verdict slides up from the bottom. Notice the tab bar and the lanes appearing.

Photos + a shareable verdict

Real product imagery fills the cards, and the verdict becomes a share artifact with an in-app Share button. The tool starts thinking of itself as something you screenshot and post.
What to look forThe cards now carry photos. Open a verdict and find the Share button — the seed of the share card.

The share card + Crop Curator

Your hand-built breakthrough: the 4:5 full-bleed card with the gradient overlay and an image-sampled grade color — plus the Crop Curator tool you made to tune every set's crop by hand.
What to look forThis one is interactive — drag the ZOOM / X / Y sliders and watch the card reframe live; change the accent and the grade letter recolors. This is the tool you ran across 173 sets.

The Brand Revamp

The 16-Decision rebuild that's live today: the 4-row sticky header, the month-jump rail, filter chips, share-card tiles, the Drop Hero, and a 5-tab nav. Ambitious — and the layer you flagged as where it went sideways.
What to look forScroll and watch how much sticky chrome stacks at the top before any content. This is the "bolted-on" heaviness — compare it against the calm of iteration 05 and 07.

The reset — "Is it worth it?"

Your reaction to the revamp feeling "like before": rip the discovery layer off and bet on radical focus. One question, one search bar, one giant grade over a plain value line. Designed and mocked — not yet shipped live.
What to look forThe two options on this page (A: pure search, B: with starter picks). This is the calm, single-purpose direction — the likely basis for where we land.

Click top-to-bottom and you'll feel the arc: calm start → app → your share-card breakthrough → the revamp piles on → the reset strips it back. When you've got a feel for it, jump to the teardown board and mark what stays — then we build the one coherent design and wire in the Drop Score engine.
