The Full Take
LEGO® took the most mundane object in a wizard's world — a trading card — and turned it into six buildable display pieces that actually hold their own on a shelf. The brick-built card design is clever enough that even non-Harry Potter fans will stop and look twice. At the price point this launched at, it's one of the better buys in the licensed aisle right now. The 315-piece count is light, but the build variety across six cards keeps things moving and the techniques are more interesting than the concept suggests. Where it stumbles is long-term value — trading card sets don't tend to command serious aftermarket premiums, so buy this because you want it, not because you're banking on it. For fans of the IP, though, this one hits the brief cleanly.
