The Mini Captain Marvel Ship is one of those sets that exists mainly to fill a price point, and it shows. Forty-six pieces gets you a blocky little starship with no minifigure to speak of and a build that wraps up before you've warmed up. The shelf presence is modest at best — it's small, it reads as incomplete, and it competes poorly against any other Marvel display piece. Play value for kids is similarly thin: no character, no action feature, just a small plastic ship with nowhere to go. The one faint bright spot is that it has appreciated modestly since retirement, though a C- isn't exactly a victory lap. This is the kind of set that made sense as a filler purchase in 2019 and not much else.
