$8.99 for 26 pieces and a single Lloyd minifig — LEGO® asked a lot for very little here, and the set doesn't have the shelf presence to justify looking the other way on that math.
Is the price fair?FEight-plus dollars for 26 pieces is a tough sell no matter how you slice it.
Will you love it?B-Lloyd fans get their guy — the rest of the set is forgettable filler.
Holds its value?C-Flat secondary market, no real collector heat pushing it anywhere interesting.

The Full Take
Lloyd's Kendo Training Pod is the kind of polybag-energy set that got a full retail price tag, and the gap is hard to ignore. Twenty-six pieces build a small sparring dummy setup that's fine for what it is — there's a spinning element and a target, which kids who are into Ninjago will clock immediately. Lloyd himself is the real draw, and if you need this version of him, this is your only ticket. The build wraps up in minutes with nothing technically interesting along the way. Display collectors will shelf it only if they're running a complete Ninjago diorama; otherwise it reads as filler. Value retention is lukewarm — not enough demand to move the needle, not enough supply scarcity either. A D overall feels right: not broken, just badly priced for what shows up in the box.
