Eight dollars for 28 pieces and one Jay minifig — this tiny pod charges full set prices for what's essentially a polybag without the polybag pricing. The love is real if you're a Ninjago completionist, but your wallet deserves better.
Is the price fair?FPolybag content, full set price tag — the math isn't mathing.
Will you love it?A-Jay's kendo variant is legitimately fun, and the pod has a tidy, display-ready look.
Holds its value?C-Unremarkable on the secondary market — don't bank on this one moving the needle.

The Full Take
Jay's Kendo Training Pod is one of those sets that lives or dies by how deep your Ninjago devotion runs. The pod itself is a cute little display piece — compact, themed, and clearly built around showing off Jay in his kendo gear, which is a genuinely cool minifig variant. But $8.99 for 28 pieces is a tough pill; this is polybag content at a premium price point, and LEGO® didn't do fans any favors with that call. The build clocks in at maybe ten minutes, which might not even get a kid through a commercial break. That said, hardcore Ninjago fans will find the charm — the figure alone carries most of the weight here. For everyone else, it's a set that's easier to love in a collection than it is to justify at the register.
