14 minifigs at $120 means your kid opens the box and immediately has a crowd. The food stalls and lion dance give them a story without needing to invent one.
Is the price fair?A+Fourteen minifigs and a full fairground scene for $120 — LEGO® priced this to move, and it moved.
Will you love it?BIf the Chinese New Year theme resonates with you, this one will hit hard every time you look at it.
Holds its value?BSeasonal retirement helps, but this isn't a moonshot flip — expect steady, not spectacular, gains.
The Full Take
The Temple Fair is one of those sets where LEGO® clearly cared about getting the culture right, not just the brick count. Fourteen minifigs is an absurd value at this price point — you're building a crowd, not just a scene. The food stalls, the lion dance, the red lanterns strung overhead: it all reads as a complete moment in time rather than a backdrop waiting for context. At $119.99 this was already a strong deal at launch, and the Seasonal theme means it doesn't stick around shelves forever. The weakest note is that some of the structural builds feel a little thin for the piece count — the vibe carries more weight than the architecture. Still, as a cultural celebration set, it punches well above its class.
