Mosasaurus Dinosaur Boat Attack
77983-1 · Jurassic World
Early read · 1 review
The Mosasaurus is the star here, and the model delivers on that — big jaw, real menace, and just enough boat wreckage to sell the chaos. At $99.99 for what you get, LEGO® charged a premium for a B- set.
Is the price fair?B$99.99 for 703 pieces and a C+ price grade — the Mosasaurus is the value, and the boat is the tax.
Will you love it?C+Fun scene, memorable creature, forgettable supporting build — C+ love means it's a one-watch movie.
Holds its value?C-D on resale: Jurassic World sets move, but they don't moon — buy this to play, not to profit.

The Full Take
Jurassic World's most terrifying ocean predator finally gets a proper LEGO® moment, and the Mosasaurus build earns its own shelf space. The boat is serviceable — enough detail to stage the attack scene, not enough to wow you on its own. Three minifigs for a hundred dollars is where the math starts to sting, especially when the supporting cast feels like an afterthought. The play scenario writes itself: dino chomps boat, humans scramble, kids are thrilled. But builders hunting clever techniques or surprising part use won't find much to write home about here. This is a theme set through and through — it delivers the fantasy of the IP and not a lot more. If Jurassic World is your world, it fits; if you're on the fence, the price won't push you over.
