Taskmaster's Ambush charges like a premium set and delivers a 230-piece skirmish. The build is fine, the three minifigs are fine — but 'fine' at this price tag is the whole problem.
Is the price fair?FRetail price is hard to defend for what you're actually getting here.
Will you love it?B-Taskmaster is a fun fig, and two more round out a decent trio — the build around them just underwhelms.
Holds its value?C-Middling set, middling aftermarket — don't bank on this one moving the needle.

The Full Take
Taskmaster himself is a cool get — a character who doesn't show up often in LEGO® form — and the three minifigs here have enough personality to make the box tempting. But once you're past the figures, this set doesn't have a lot going on. The build is a small, unremarkable ambush scene that wraps up fast and leaves little to display with pride. For a casual Marvel fan picking this off the shelf, the sticker shock lands harder than anything Taskmaster throws. A C- overall feels about right: there's something worth liking here, but the price-to-experience ratio is genuinely rough. If you see it discounted, the calculus changes — at retail, it's a tough sell.
