Norbert: Hagrid's Baby Dragon
76477-1 · Harry Potter
Early read · 0 reviews
Fifty dollars for a baby dragon and zero minifigs is a tough pitch — Norbert is cute, but LEGO® is charging premium prices for what's essentially a statue of a hatchling that fits in your palm.
Is the price fair?FFifty dollars for a hatchling with no minifigs is a hard sell no matter how cute the dragon is.
Will you love it?CCharming design, but the lack of any wizarding world characters leaves it feeling oddly lonely.
Holds its value?C-Secondary market enthusiasm for creature-only sets without figs tends to cool faster than fans hope.

The Full Take
Norbert has charm — the dragon design is endearing and the egg-and-cradle presentation reads well on a shelf. But 483 pieces at $49.99 with no minifigs is where the goodwill runs out fast. There's no Hagrid, no Harry, no context — just a standalone creature build that asks a lot of your wallet for what it delivers. The Harry Potter line has pulled off great creature sets before, but those came with enough scale or detail to justify the ask. Norbert doesn't quite get there. It's a nice object, not a great set, and the gap between what it costs and what it is makes it hard to recommend without hesitation.
