Hogwarts Express as a book nook is the kind of concept that sounds perfect on paper — a slice of Platform 9¾ tucked between your hardcovers. The execution is charming enough, with decent scene-setting and that signature red locomotive framed in a compact footprint. But LEGO® priced this one in a range where it has to compete with much heavier hitters in the Harry Potter lineup, and 832 pieces with two minifigs doesn't clear that bar. The build itself is pleasant without being remarkable — no jaw-dropping technique moments, no deep minifig roster to justify the cost. It's a C set in a world where Harry Potter shelves already have a lot of competition for that same hundred dollars.
