Diagon Alley is one of the most beloved streets in fiction, and LEGO® has leaned into that fully here — 12 minifigs, a row of iconic shopfronts, and a build that genuinely rewards the time you put into it. The problem is $199.99 sits at the edge of what the set can justify. At 2750 pieces you're getting substance, and the minifig lineup (Ollivander, Weasley twins territory, the whole cast of the alley) is strong enough to anchor any Harry Potter shelf. The build itself is layered and interesting — this isn't a flat facade job, there's real depth to the shopfront detailing. Where it stumbles is the price-to-payoff gap: this is a B- set wearing a B+ price, and you feel that. Hold value is middling — Harry Potter moves, but this theme has enough product in the market that retirement bumps aren't guaranteed to be dramatic. Buy it for the love of the alley, not the spreadsheet.
