The Great Hall is one of the most iconic rooms in all of fiction, and LEGO® has now revisited it enough times that this 2024 version needs to justify its existence — and it mostly does, but just barely. Eleven minifigs is a strong roster, and the architectural details hit the right notes for fans who want Hogwarts on the shelf. The build itself is engaging without being groundbreaking, leaning on familiar techniques rather than anything that'll make you stop mid-bag and admire the engineering. Where this set stumbles is the price: $200 is a lot to ask when comparable builds in other themes come in lighter. It's a B- set in every sense — above average, worth owning if you love the IP, but nobody's calling it essential. If Hogwarts lives rent-free in your head, you'll find enough here to smile about; if you're agnostic on the theme, the price will feel like a toll.
