Eight minifigs in an advent calendar is quietly one of the better deals in the Harry Potter lineup — but if you're not already deep in the fandom, the micro-builds filling the other 24 windows will land with a shrug.
Is the price fair?B+Fair for a licensed advent — eight minifigs carry the weight of the ask.
Will you love it?CFandom-dependent; the minifigs deliver but the micro-builds won't keep anyone up at night.
Holds its value?B+Advent calendars have a quiet track record of modest appreciation once they retire — this one follows that pattern.

The Full Take
The 2022 Harry Potter Advent Calendar does its job without embarrassing itself, and that's about the right frame for it. Eight minifigs across 24 days is a solid return, especially when the character selection hits recognizable names. The micro-builds — a tiny Hogwarts window here, a miniature cauldron there — are charming for ten seconds and mostly forgettable after that. At $44.99 it's not a steal, but it's not asking too much for a licensed advent calendar either, and the B on price reflects that fairness. The problem is the love grade: unless the recipient is actively into Harry Potter, the daily reveal excitement fizzles fast once the minifigs are done. It's a calendar that rewards the fan and slightly underwhelms everyone else.
