The book-that-opens gimmick is cute once, then it sits on your shelf taking up space without looking like much of anything. $30 for 233 pieces in 2021 was a tough sell, and the Herbology theme doesn't do enough to rescue it.
Is the price fair?F$30 for what amounts to a folding booklet stings — this needed to be a $20 set.
Will you love it?C+Charming idea, weak payoff — you'll snap it together, smile once, and move on.
Holds its value?C-Floats near retail on the secondary market but doesn't climb; this one's a holder, not a grower.

The Full Take
Hogwarts Moment sets had a fun idea at their core — a classroom that folds into a book — but the execution left a lot to be desired. At $30, you're getting a compact build that snaps together quickly and doesn't linger in a satisfying way. The Herbology setting has genuine charm: Professor Sprout, a couple of Potter kids, some mandrakes. But once it's closed on the shelf it just looks like a box, and opened it's too shallow to feel like a real scene. The minifig selection is fine without being exciting, and the build itself won't challenge anyone past a beginner. It's a C set in a C series — likable in concept, underwhelming in practice.
