The Daily Bugle nameplate on a $100 set sounds exciting until you realize this is a 789-piece playscape, not the skyline centerpiece you're picturing — solid Marvel fun, just tempered expectations required.
Is the price fair?B+Close enough to fair that it stings a little — you're paying a Marvel tax on a mid-tier build.
Will you love it?C+Fun if you're into the theme, forgettable if you're not — the Bugle name does more work than the set.
Holds its value?C+Modest upside at best — Marvel sets move, but this one won't lead the pack.

The Full Take
Mysterio versus Spider-Man at the Daily Bugle is a genuinely good matchup, and LEGO® leans into the play side hard here. Seven minifigs at this price point is generous on paper, but the build itself is more playset scaffold than display piece — open-backed, action-oriented, functional. The 789 pieces land in competent-but-unremarkable territory for a hundred dollars; it's not a rip-off, but the value math is close enough to feel like a push. Kids who love Spider-Man will find a lot to do with this. Adult collectors hoping for a finished, shelf-ready Bugle façade will probably walk away wanting more architecture and less play action. It's a B- for a reason — good bones, middling execution, and a theme strong enough to carry it past average.
