Advent calendars live and die by their daily reveals, and 317 pieces with zero minifigs is a rough starting point for a Marvel one. At $44.99 it's priced right, but the lack of figures makes each door feel like a consolation prize.
Is the price fair?A+$44.99 for a 317-piece advent calendar is the one thing this set gets right.
Will you love it?FNo minifigs, micro-builds of questionable charm — the daily magic just isn't here.
Holds its value?C-Advent calendars rarely appreciate, and this one gives collectors no reason to chase it post-retirement.
The Full Take
Marvel advent calendars have always walked a fine line between charming micro-builds and hollow filler, and 317 pieces with no minifigs tips this one toward the latter. The daily ritual is fun in theory — crack a door, build something small, feel festive — but without a single character in the box, there's nothing to anchor the Marvel identity beyond plastic shapes. Kids who want Iron Man or Spider-Man are going to feel the absence hard. The price is genuinely fair for what's in the box, which is the set's one clean win. But fair pricing on a disappointing product just means you didn't get robbed. Display collectors and investors should both walk past this one without breaking stride. It's a holiday purchase for committed Marvel households only, and even then, go in with low expectations.
