There's something delightfully absurd about LEGO® making a beat-up jalopy the centerpiece of a Marvel set — and The Hoopty leans into that absurdity with personality to spare. The weathered aesthetic is genuinely refreshing in a theme usually dominated by sleek Quinjets and shiny mechs. Three minifigs round it out, which is decent company for a set at this scale. The problem is the $89.99 ask, which is hard to square with what you're actually holding — a mid-tier build with a novelty concept doing most of the heavy lifting. It's a B- for a reason: easy to enjoy, hard to fully defend the price. If you're a Guardians fan who loves the bit, you'll probably forgive it. Everyone else might want to wait for a sale.
