Two mechs, two icons, one pretty steep ask for 312 pieces. The Doc Ock arms do the heavy lifting here — without them, this whole thing falls flat.
Is the price fair?FMarvel tax in full effect — you're paying for the IP, not the parts.
Will you love it?B-The Doc Ock arms save it; Spidey's mech is the shrug half of the duo.
Holds its value?C-Retires quietly, moves quietly — nothing here drives collector demand.

The Full Take
The Doctor Octopus mech is where this set lives or dies, and it mostly lives — those articulated tentacle arms give it a menace that the Spider-Man side just can't match. Spidey's mech feels like the filler half of a two-pack, boxy where the villain is expressive. At $19.99 for 312 pieces, you're paying a premium that Marvel's name is doing a lot of work to justify. Still, the play pattern — two mechs locked in combat, ready to brawl right out of the box — lands for its intended audience even if it doesn't dazzle. Display-wise, it reads more as a toy than a shelf piece; the scale is too small for serious presence and too colorful for subtle. The minifigs are fine, both recognizable, neither special. A C set isn't a bad set — it's just a set that knows exactly what it is and doesn't try to be more.
