Iron Monger is one of the MCU's most underrated villains, and this set does him just enough justice to sting — because the price is the villain here, not Obadiah Stane.
Is the price fair?D$39.99 for this piece count was a stretch in 2021 and it hasn't aged into a deal.
Will you love it?B-The mech has genuine menace and Iron Man vs. Iron Monger is a setup that delivers.
Holds its value?C-Retired and sitting flat — don't expect the secondary market to do you any favors.

The Full Take
The Iron Monger mech is chunky and mean-looking in the way the character deserves, and the three-minifig lineup — including a Tony Stark — gives it some real personality on the shelf. The build itself is straightforward but satisfying, with enough articulation in the mech to feel purposeful rather than decorative. Where this set stumbles is the sticker on the box: $39.99 for 488 pieces in 2021 was a tough sell, and it remains one. Play value is solid for younger Marvel fans — the mech poses, the minifigs fight, there's a clear story being told. It's not a bad set. It's a set that would land much better at $29.99, and LEGO® knew it when they set the price.
