The Full Take
Battle at the Ancient Village quietly does something most Marvel sets at this price fail at: it puts four minifigs in the box without charging you for the privilege. The build itself is modest — a compact village scene that skews more backdrop than destination — but as a platform for the characters it works. Shang-Chi's debut wave carried a lot of weight for a film that didn't get the blockbuster box-office, and this set captures that scrappy energy. The 406 pieces assemble fast, which younger builders will appreciate and hardcore builders will note as a limitation. Where it stumbles is in the overall environment — the ancient village reads a little sparse when you step back. But the minifig haul alone justifies the $39.99 ask, and that's a harder bar to clear than it looks.
