The Full Take
The Eternals theme was a gamble for LEGO® and most of these sets landed quietly, but Deviant Ambush! punches a little above its weight. Three minifigs for under $25 is a reasonable deal, and Ikaris alone justifies the shelf space for MCU completionists. The Deviant creature build is the centerpiece, and while it's no engineering showcase, it has enough character to feel purposeful rather than filler. The set's biggest problem is the source material — Eternals didn't lodge itself in pop culture the way Marvel's heaviest hitters did, which caps both its demand and its long-term collector appeal. As a play set for a younger Marvel fan, it delivers a clear conflict, two sides, and a monster, which is the whole formula. Mid overall, but it knows what it's trying to do.
