The Thanos Mech is one of those sets that works best as an impulse grab — cheap entry into Marvel, quick build, and you get the Mad Titan in some form. But 'in some form' is doing a lot of work here: the mech silhouette is chunky and basic, and the figure inside doesn't compensate for how unfinished the whole thing looks. At $9.99 it's not a disaster, but it's priced right at the edge of what you'd accept for this level of complexity. The lone minifig is a nice touch, though Thanos himself has appeared in far better sets. Display-wise, it struggles to hold its own next to almost anything in the Marvel lineup. Buy it if the price drops or your kid specifically loves mechs — otherwise, your money reaches farther elsewhere.
