Hydro-Man doesn't get nearly enough plastic love, so seeing him rendered with a translucent water-form torso piece is the highlight here. The wave build is serviceable scenery — nothing you'll brag about, but it frames the minifigs well enough. Four figures for $39.99 is where the value math gets shaky; you're paying a small premium for the license and not much else. The build itself is short and forgettable, which is the set's biggest weakness beyond the price. Spider-Man fans will want this for the villain alone, and that's a reasonable case.
