Captain Marvel's 2019 theatrical debut gave LEGO® an opening, and they filled it with a set that's more minifig showcase than building experience. The Skrull ship has some decent swooshability for a sub-300-piece build, but don't expect the construction to dazzle you — it's functional, not inspired. What keeps this from sliding further is the minifig lineup: three characters, one of which is a Skrull face-change gimmick that kids genuinely love. The price was fair at launch and still looks reasonable in the aftermarket. It's a B- because it does everything adequately and nothing memorably, which for a movie tie-in isn't the worst outcome. If you needed Captain Marvel merch in brick form in 2019, this was the call — just don't expect a shelf centerpiece.
