The Full Take
Spider-Man mechs have a high bar to clear, and the Spider Crawler stumbles right at the gate with pricing that doesn't match what's in the box. Four minifigs is a solid headcount — you get Spidey, Vulture, and a couple more to stage a brawl — but the mech itself feels like a rough draft. The build is straightforward, nothing that'll stick with you as a clever technique or a satisfying sequence. On the shelf it reads more like a prototype than a finished display piece. Kids will get some genuine play out of it, which saves it from being a total miss, but parents should know they're paying a premium for the license more than the set. The secondary market isn't doing it any favors either — this one quietly retires without much fanfare or appreciation. A C- overall feels right: not broken, not good.
