$120 for 1363 pieces and one lonely minifig — the Hulkbuster: Ultron Edition is a set that charges flagship money for a build that doesn't quite deliver flagship results.
The parts alone are worth about 118% of the street price — the basis for this D+ price read.
BargainThe parts alone are worth more than you pay — $182 of parts for $155.
The Hulkbuster suit is a genuinely cool concept, and LEGO®'s 2018 take on the Ultron Edition version has shelf presence at a glance — the sheer bulk of it reads well from across the room. Get closer, though, and the cracks show. One minifig at $120 is a tough pill, and the build itself leans more repetitive than rewarding, with large panel sections that pad the piece count without adding much craft. The color blocking is decent but the detailing never quite rises to the premium tier this price point implies. For a set that should feel like a centerpiece, it lands closer to filler — the kind of thing that sits in a cart for weeks before you talk yourself into it. There are better ways to spend $120 in the Marvel lineup.
