The Full Take
Aragog's Lair is a set that lives or dies on how much you love Chamber of Secrets. The spider build is genuinely the highlight — detailed, menacing, and one of the better creature builds in the early HP wave. But the environment around him feels thin: a few dark green plants, a web, and two minifigs dropped into a forest clearing that doesn't really feel like a lair. Ron and Harry are solid gets, but $14.99 for 157 pieces in 2018 felt like a stretch even then. It's not a bad set — it just charges a premium for the license and gives you a small scene in return. If Aragog is your guy, you'll find something to love. If you need the full package, this one tests your patience.
