The Hungarian Horntail looks the part, but $30 for 265 pieces in 2019 was already a stretch — LEGO® leaned hard on the Harry Potter name and called it a day.
Is the price fair?FThe IP does the heavy lifting here, and you're paying for every bit of it.
Will you love it?B-The minifig lineup is the real draw; the build is just the excuse to have them.
Holds its value?C+Steady but unspectacular — it won't embarrass a portfolio, but don't count on fireworks.

The Full Take
The Horntail dragon build has some charm to it — the head and wing articulation give it personality on a shelf, and the Triwizard egg prop is a nice thematic touch. The four minifigs (Harry, Cedric, Fleur, Viktor) are a legitimate pull for HP collectors and carry a lot of the set's weight. The arena build itself is thin, though — a handful of rocks and a flag does not a scene make. At $29.99 for 265 pieces, the price leaned on the IP hard, and buyers felt it. The C+ overall score lands about right: it's not a bad set, but it's a set that knows exactly what it is — and so do you the moment you open the box.
