Early read · 4 reviews
A buildable Stormtrooper figure that stands about a foot tall — this is the kind of desk piece that sparks a conversation without demanding shelf real estate. The B- overall feels right: it's charming, niche, and not quite cheap enough to be an easy yes.
Is the price fair?C+Twenty-five dollars for a hundred-piece figure with no minifig is a stretch, even if the build quality earns some of it back.
Will you love it?BPoseable, shelf-ready, and more characterful than a plain white trooper — the orange commander detail is the whole reason to own this one.
Holds its value?B-Modest but real — Buildable Figures have a collector niche and this one doesn't disappoint them.

The Full Take
The Buildable Figures line never got the credit it deserved, and this Stormtrooper Commander is a decent example of why. At roughly a foot tall, it has real presence — the angular white armor reads clean from across a room, and the Commander's orange pauldron detail gives it just enough personality to stand apart from a plain trooper. The build itself is a CCBS (Character and Creature Building System) exercise, which means poseable joints, a satisfying click-together structure, and a finished look that doesn't require a display case to pull off. One hundred pieces sounds thin, but the part density here is high — almost nothing goes to waste. The C+ on price is the honest friction point: $24.99 for a single figure with no minifig and no environment is a tough sell when you can grab a full Star Wars set for the same money. That said, it holds a B- on resale, which suggests the secondary market has a quiet appreciation for these that the retail shelf never quite did. If you like the aesthetic, this one delivers.
