The Full Take
At $34.99, this Chewie landed as one of the better-priced Star Wars buildable figures LEGO® ever put out — and the secondary market has rewarded that ever since. The sculpt captures the fur texture and that iconic slouch better than you'd expect from 179 pieces. It's a quick build, no question, and hardcore builders may feel a little shortchanged by the session length. But as a shelf piece it reads clearly and holds its own next to larger, pricier sets. The buildable-figure format never quite hit the heights of the UCS line, yet Chewie is one of the stronger entries in it. If you missed it at retail, sealed copies have aged well. A solid, unpretentious little set that delivered more than its price tag had any obligation to.
