The New Republic X-wing fills a real gap in the Star Wars lineup, finally giving the Mandalorian-era faction some plastic representation. At $69.99 for 558 pieces, the price isn't insulting, but it's not a bargain either — you're getting fair, not generous. Three minifigs is respectable for this price point, assuming the character selection makes sense for the ship. The build itself lands in that comfortable middle zone: enough going on to hold your attention, not enough to leave you wowed. Shelf presence will depend hard on how faithful the proportions are — X-wings live and die by their silhouette. Nothing here screams 'skip it,' but nothing demands you sprint to checkout either. A B- is exactly right: a good set that could've been great with a little more ambition.
