Two iconic ships fused into one weird hybrid — it shouldn't work, but the concept alone makes it the most conversation-starting Star Wars set of 2024. Just know $110 is a stretch for what you get.
Is the price fair?C-$110 for a novelty concept that delivers more grin than substance — the price is hard to square.
Will you love it?C+Fun premise, memorable shelf presence, but the build doesn't punch hard enough to make this a must-own.
Holds its value?B-Modest resale upside — niche enough to retain interest at retirement, not strong enough to bank on.

The Full Take
The TIE Fighter and X-wing mash-up is either a fever dream or a stroke of genius depending on who you ask, and that tension is exactly what makes it interesting. LEGO® leaned into pure fun here — this isn't a clean display piece or a serious collector's trophy, it's a talking point. At $110, the price stings a little given the scale, and the build itself doesn't push any technical boundaries. Five minifigs help justify the ask, but not fully. Where it wins is personality: nothing else on your shelf looks like this. It won't anchor a collection, but it'll absolutely get pointed at by every person who walks into the room. A B- overall feels right — fun, flawed, and a little overpriced for the experience you're buying.
