The Droideka is one of Star Wars' most iconic droids, and LEGO® finally gave it a dedicated set — which should be exciting. The rolling ball gimmick is the headline feature, and it works, but the finished model feels a little hollow for what you're paying. 583 pieces at $64.99 is a tough sell when the display presence doesn't quite match the price. The single minifig (a Clone Trooper) is fine but doesn't add much to the package. As a novelty build it's fun for an afternoon; as a shelf centerpiece it's a bit underwhelming. The C- overall says it all — this one needed either a lower price or a more ambitious model to justify its existence.
