Darth Vader piloting a giant mech version of himself is exactly as ridiculous as it sounds, and that's both the appeal and the problem. The silhouette reads well from across the room — the helmet shape translates surprisingly cleanly at this scale. But 139 pieces at $15.99 is a tough sell when the build wraps up in under an hour and leaves you with something that wobbles on the shelf. The included minifig is a nice touch, but it doesn't rescue the overall thinness. This is a set for someone who spotted it at checkout and couldn't resist Vader's face staring back at them — and there's no shame in that, but temper expectations. It lands at a C+ overall: fine, not essential.
