Twelve minifigs in one box sounds great until you realize the base itself feels thin for $170 — but the Death Star trench run briefing room alone might justify the shelf space.
Is the price fair?B-Decent minifig-to-dollar ratio saves it, but the base itself doesn't fill out that price tag.
Will you love it?B-Nostalgia and a killer minifig lineup carry it past a build that plays it safe.

The Full Take
The Yavin 4 Rebel Base is one of those sets that wins on roster and loses a little on scale. Twelve minifigs is a stacked lineup — classic Rebel pilots, ground crew, the whole A New Hope gang — but the actual structure feels modest for what LEGO® is charging. The build has some satisfying moments, particularly the operations room and the iconic ship bay, but it never quite reaches the grandeur the source material deserves. At $170 it's a C- on price: not a rip-off, but not a deal either. Where it lands is as a solid B — a set fans will enjoy building and displaying even if it leaves you wishing LEGO® had pushed it another twenty percent further. The minifig haul softens the sting considerably.
