Captain Rex is the rare Clone Wars character who could carry a helmet set — but at $70 for a display piece with no minifig and middling shelf presence, LEGO® is asking you to really love the man under the helmet.

The Full Take
The helmet line lives or dies on whether the subject earns the format, and Rex is a strong candidate — beloved character, iconic blue-and-white Phase II armor, fanbase that never fully let go after The Clone Wars finale. The build itself is competent but not revelatory; the sculpted shape reads clearly from across a room, which is the baseline job done. Where this stumbles is the price tag: $69.99 for 854 pieces and zero minifigs is a tough sell when shinier display sets exist at similar or lower price points. It holds moderate resale value because Rex fans are loyal, but don't expect this to become a sleeper hit. Buy it because Rex deserves a spot on your shelf, not because the set wowed you on its own merits.
