Luke and Vader crossing lightsabers inside the Death Star throne room is one of cinema's great duels, and LEGO® has revisited it enough times to prove it prints. This 2020 edition captures the scene's drama with a solid throne room build and five minifigs that anchor the display — Palpatine's inclusion alone justifies a second look. The problem is the price tag: $99.99 for 775 pieces puts this in territory where expectations run high and the set only half-meets them. The build itself is competent but not particularly inventive, leaning on the IP to do the heavy lifting. As a shelf piece it reads well from a distance; up close the hollow sections remind you where corners were cut. It's a B- on love because the subject matter carries real weight — the set just doesn't quite earn its price on its own merits.
