Four minifigs in a $40 Star Wars set is the kind of ratio LEGO® rarely delivers — and the AAT's chunky, battle-worn silhouette earns real shelf space on top of it.
Is the price fair?AFour minifigs and a recognizable ship under $40 — LEGO® left money on the table here.
Will you love it?BQuick build, but the end result looks the part and the minifig haul softens the sting.
Holds its value?A-Solid secondary market history on AAT releases; this one should follow the pattern.
The Full Take
The AAT has always been one of the more underrated vehicles in the Star Wars lineup, and this 2020 version makes a solid case for itself. Four minifigures at this price point is the standout win — a Battle Droid squad plus a Gungan warrior gives the set instant diorama energy. The tank itself reads well from across a room: low, wide, and menacing in that Trade Federation way. Where it stumbles is in the build itself — 286 pieces goes by fast, and there aren't many moments that make you stop and think. Still, for the shelf or for a kid's room, the finished model holds its own next to pricier competition. At $39.99 this is one of those sets that punches above its weight class without demanding much from you.
