The Full Take
There's no denying the TIE Fighter Pilot helmet has presence — matte black, angular, and unmistakably Imperial. It earns its spot in the Helmet Collection on looks alone, and appreciation north of 8 shows the market knows it. But sixty dollars for a set with no minifigs, no alternate display angle, and a build that's more repetitive than rewarding is a hard ask. The build itself is fine — SNOT techniques, layered curves — but it doesn't teach you anything new or surprise you at any point. For Star Wars fans who already own a few of these helmets, it fits the shelf. For everyone else, the price tag is the story, and it's not a flattering one. A set that looks better than it feels to build or buy.
