The Full Take
Poe Dameron's X-wing landed at $89.99 for 761 pieces, and that number still stings in the best way — it's the rare Star Wars set where the shelf asking price doesn't feel like a shakedown. The build itself is solid Star Wars fare: good greebling on the fuselage, a satisfying wing mechanism, and just enough cockpit detail to feel complete. Four minifigs round it out, including Poe and BB-8, which is exactly what you want in the box. Display presence is strong without being ostentatious — it fits a shelf without eating the whole thing. Where it stumbles slightly is in the 'what you get beyond the obvious' column; there's no jaw-dropping parts surprise or novel technique to write home about. But as a total package — price, theme, shelf appeal — this is one of the more sensibly put-together Star Wars sets of its era. B+ is comfortable.
