Vader's Castle should be an icon — and on the shelf it almost is. But $130 for 1060 pieces in 2019 was a stretch, and the interior feels hollow in a way that has nothing to do with the Dark Side.
Is the price fair?DSteep for what you get inside — the exterior earns more than the price tag does.
Will you love it?C+The vibe is there; the interior isn't.
The parts alone are worth about 113% of the street price — the basis for this D price read.

The Full Take
Few Star Wars locations carry more atmospheric weight than Mustafar, and LEGO® knew it — the volcanic rock aesthetic and lava accents give this thing a silhouette unlike anything else in the Star Wars lineup. The problem is the price tag never matched the reality of what's inside. Six minifigs sounds solid until you realize the interior is mostly empty corridors and missed opportunity. The exterior silhouette is legitimately striking on a shelf, channeling Vader's brooding energy, but builders expecting clever techniques will find the construction fairly conventional for the piece count. It holds a B- on secondary market — not a burner, but not a rocket either. A C+ overall feels about right: cool concept, uneven execution, priced just high enough to sting.
