The A-wing has always been the scrappy underdog of the Rebel and Resistance fleet, and this 2019 version captures that lean, aggressive silhouette well for the shelf. At $29.99 it punches above its weight class — the minifig value alone justifies most of the ask. BB-8 showing up as one of only two figures is either a bonus or a consolation depending on how you feel about round droids, but the pilot is sharp. The build itself is brief, clocking in under 270 pieces, so don't expect an afternoon project. What you do get is a tight, displayable ship that doesn't embarrass itself next to larger Star Wars sets. The B+ overall feels right: nothing here is broken, nothing is spectacular, but the price keeps it honest.
