Star Wars Resistance didn't get the fan love it deserved, and this set reflects that awkward in-between space — cool enough to build, weird enough to feel niche. The ship design is distinctive: angular and menacing in a way that stands apart from the classic TIE lineup. Three minifigs is a reasonable haul, and Tam Ryvora is genuinely hard to get elsewhere, which matters for completionists. The build itself is competent but not inspired — you won't hit any 'oh that's clever' moments, just steady, satisfying assembly. Where it stumbles is the price: $49.99 for 396 pieces in 2019 felt like LEGO® leaning on the Star Wars tax hard. Secondary market has held reasonably well precisely because the theme's small and the minifig selection is tight. A C+ feels right — likable, limited, and a little overpriced for what's on the table.
