The Full Take
The crimson-and-black First Order TIE is genuinely one of the sharper-looking variants in the Star Wars line, and Major Vonreg himself is a decent minifig pull for Resistance fans. But LEGO® asked $70 for this and the math never worked — it's a mid-sized fighter that feels like it should sit in the $50 range, and buyers noticed. The build itself is competent without being exciting; the TIE formula is well-worn at this point, and this one doesn't reinvent it. Four minifigs helps the package, but two of them are pilots you're not exactly hunting for. It lands as a C: a fine set that a specific fan will love, but not one that wins over anyone who wasn't already sold on the character.
