The Full Take
The Droid Gunship is one of those Star Wars sets where the source material does most of the heavy lifting. The Separatist gunship is a genuinely cool ship from the Clone Wars era, but LEGO®'s 2019 interpretation feels stretched thin at $49.99 — you're getting a mid-sized build that doesn't quite nail the vessel's bulk or threat. Four minifigs help the cause, and the Clone Trooper variants have some appeal, but the build itself doesn't offer much beyond a straightforward afternoon. On the shelf it reads as background noise next to stronger Star Wars entries from the same era. The C on love is charitable — fans of the theme will get something out of it, but nobody's going to call this a highlight of their collection. At full retail it was hard to justify, and not much has changed.
