The Full Take
Microfighters live or die by how well they capture a vehicle's soul in miniature, and the escape pod here does it surprisingly well — the rounded shape reads immediately. The Dewback is the real treat though, a creature build that most sets this size would just skip entirely in favor of another ship. Three minifigs including a Sandtrooper gives the whole thing a scene-in-a-box quality that single-vehicle microfighters can't touch. At $19.99 it's not a steal, but it's a fair trade for two builds and a playable little vignette. The B- grade reflects a set that does exactly what it promises without doing anything extraordinary — which is sometimes exactly what you need on a shelf or under a tree.
