The Full Take
The Elite Praetorian Guard Battle Pack is one of those sets where the minifigs do all the heavy lifting — and at $14.99 for five of these red-armored killers, the lifting is easy. The build experience is minimal: a small weapons rack and a display stand that exist mostly to justify the 'set' label. But that doesn't sink it, because the figs are the product here, and they're sharp. For Star Wars fans who wanted to army-build after The Last Jedi, this was the obvious buy. Retired sets with popular characters tend to hold well, and this one has followed that script. It's not a satisfying afternoon build, but as a collector's item or a display piece for Episode VIII fans, the value case is hard to argue with.
