The Imperial Landing Craft sits in a strange spot in the Star Wars lineup: a ship with real screen presence but not a ton of mainstream recognition, which actually works in its favor. At $89.99 for a solidly sized Imperial vessel with five minifigs, LEGO® left money on the table — the price grade alone tells you this was a buy. The build delivers the angular, menacing Imperial aesthetic well enough, though the interior and parts variety don't quite match the exterior promise. Five minifigs sounds generous until you realize they're mostly generic Imperials you probably already own. Still, as a shelf piece that fills out an Imperial fleet display, it does its job without demanding much from your wallet. The B+ overall is fair — this is a solid set that just stops short of being a great one.
